TJF Educational Solutions, LLC offers professional development and strategy for educators, schools, districts and organizations. Our team focuses on two primary areas: (1) mathematics teaching and learning and (2) equitable instruction. Through our services, educators develop a repertoire of strategies to level the playing field in mathematics and beyond and leaders are prepared to foster systemic change. Ultimately, our services lead to enhanced student confidence to prepare students for advanced math classes.

Our Founder

Toya Jones Frank, PhD—also known as Dr. T—is a veteran mathematics educator, researcher, and STEM education leader with a passion for creating just and equitable learning opportunities.

With over two decades of experience, Dr. T helps schools, districts, and organizations:

• Build equitable mathematics systems

• Strengthen teacher pipelines

• Foster partnerships for lasting STEM impact

Her journey includes earning a PhD in Mathematics Education and a Master’s in Education Policy (Curriculum Theory) from the University of Maryland, College Park. She’s also a proud alum of Florida A&M University, where she earned her BS in Mathematics.

Dr. T recently served as a Program Director at the National Science Foundation, where she led national initiatives in Racial Equity in STEM Education and Data Science Corps. She is also affiliated with George Mason University as an Associate Professor. Her research explores how race impacts mathematics teacher education and ways to create inclusive, advanced math spaces for historically marginalized students.

As a published author and sought-after keynote speaker, Dr. T has shared her expertise with organizations such as the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and the Psychology of Mathematics Education – North America.

Beyond her scholarship, Dr. T collaborates with teachers, leaders, and mathematicians across the U.S. and abroad. She is especially proud of her roots as a Prince George’s County high school math teacher, Montgomery County department chair, and consultant for partners including DC Public Schools and ACT, Inc.
